This is a shelving unit made entirely from solid Black Walnut. The client wanted an asymmetrical piece with plenty of areas to store and display items of all shapes and sizes. I had lots of fun planning out the spacing for each section, making sure they would be varied but useful. The design also includes a “bird cage” on one side that acts as a light diffuser. Because of all the different compartments and sizes, I took to calling this unit “The Menagerie Shelves”
