The Book Arch, made from oak faced ply and solid oak. This is a wedding arch that I designed and made for two of my very best friends to get married under. G, the bride, is a voracious reader, so I designed the wedding arch with that in mind. I asked the guests to bring along their favourite book with a message written inside and place it on the arch when they arrived. So M+G were married under the favourite reads and the well wishes of their guests. As it was my wedding gift to them, I decided to design The Book Arch as something that they could take home and have as a permanent piece of furniture as well as a reminder of their big day. It lives in their lovely kitchen and they have continued to add books of their own to it.
